In SN1 I visisted all aeras and missed nothing thanks to the sonar. The Seatruck is a modular undersea vehicle, somewhat resembling a submersible train. Problem is that when I undocked from the moon pool the modules no longer. The Truck docked and it just disengaged the attachments which is fine. I hate using internet to be able to finish a game. Just docked the Sea Truck into the moonpool for the first time and tried docking it while it was attached to the storage and fabrication modules. My game experience at the end was affected because of this. Maybe the developpers could provide it before the player reach this part of the game like for other some vehicules enhancement ? It can be activated using the number key corresponding to the slot it is placed in, or the Shift key. In a Seatruck Cabin with no modules attached, the speed jumps from around 8.6 m/s to 12.7 m/s. The module gives the Seatruck a temporary burst in speed at the cost of 6 units of energy per use. So I clearly disagree : the sonar must be brought back. The Seatruck Afterburner Upgrade is a Seatruck upgrade. This cavern is very big and dark and with the fog you don't see far. Finally I felt obliged to search on the web, to teleport to this area and then swim to the exit to find its entry. When I got the last blueprint, I missed again the entry to the last area for assembly all the elements. And with all the tunnels network, all in this same area, I didn't realize I could go deeper (and the scanner map is not easy to read) Also, you can craft seatruck and prawn suit modules at any fabricator including the lifepods. The fragments are down there, youve just gotta search. I recommend going with a prawn suit since the truck can only go 300m with 1st depth upgrade. In Sub1 I always wanted to play a fresh game and take the time to make scanner rooms in different parts of the map, but always either got lazy or really didnt find it necessary to do so. The funniest, my main base was closed to one of the entry but the scanner range didn't show far enough to realize there were a deep cavern. They are in the Deep twisty bridges, the one with the squidsharks, though. I posted this idea in another thread somewhere, but I think this would be such a cool thing for the seatruck. Then I saw a deep cavern but hard to find the entries (because as you said, they are small in small areas in opposite of SN1). Based on SN1 experience and the items for improving the verhicules deep, I was sure I didn't go deep enough.įirst I've spend hours to move from here to there, building and disassembling scanner rooms. Because I've missed the both entries of the cavern I had to go. I was nearly at the end of the game and didn't know what to do nor where to go. It would have made Crystal Caverns a bit more accessible, but it's just not necessary in this game. Nice they're in I suppose, and I expect some people like them, but I only use the dock and the storage other than if I want to check for bugs.Originally posted by Catalytic: It's just frankly not open enough to need it except in a very small handful of situations. Storage Module: I use 2 or more of these, a staple for all journeys and just picking everything up on trips to story locations or exploring. Its very handy to craft on the go and comes with some extra storage. Fabricator Module: I always use this one. Aquarium, Sleeper, Planter (I assume) are all basically gimmicks that with a little planning a storage module is superior to and the teleportation one feels like cheating so I'd never use it other than for testing. I use both the Horsepower upgrade and spam Afterburner for speed since my Seatruck is long. Making some Seatruck upgrades is pretty much the only practical use I can see for any of the modules other than the Storage and Prawn Dock. I suppose I might use it to make the architect part from the purple crystal area but a mini base and wall mounted fab only takes up about half what you can fit in a Storage Module so not really worth even for that. The Storage Module being the hardest to find is a little annoying, as now I know where Marge's base is I don't even bother with the Fabricator module, the only time I ever used it was to make the upgrades for the truck, that aside an additional storage module does basically everything better. Dunno if they have increased spawn rate or last time was an extreme outlier.Įither way still seems the Fabricator ones are much more common than Storage, which doesn't make much sense thematically as the pda entries imply there was more than one Storage module, and can't see why there'd be more than one Fab. Found 4 Storage frags in a few minutes, and 8 or 9 Fabricator ones. Started a new save after switching from stable back to experimental.
